While in school she participated in the NCSU Turtle Rescue Team for two and a half years and also served as avian representative through the student zoo, wildlife, and exotics medicine club.

Outside of the clinic she enjoys spending time outside, especially with her dog Tristan; tennis,reading murder mysteries, knitting, baking, eating sushi, and caring for her tortoises, ball python,bearded dragon, rat, and hedgehog..
