Pet Surgery

Most pets are cuddled by a veterinary nurse or technician until they are sedated and anesthetized for surgery. We use Isoflurane gas anesthesia, the gold standard in exotic medicine. A surgical assistant monitors the patient using devices such as a Doppler pulse monitor, ECG, and rectal temperature probes. Warm water circulating blankets are used to keep every pet comfortable and snuggly warm during anesthetic procedures. Our pet nurses stay with your pet until they are fully awake and aware
